Buckland Hills - E47/1554 & E08/1554
The Buckland Hills tenements are located within close proximity to established infrastructure and are directly adjacent to Mesa J which is a Rio Tinto operated mine. These tenements contain one project, Bungaroo South and three potential exploration target areas Snake Valley, Mesa J Southwest and Ricane.
Bungaroo South is located 35km from the Robe River Mesa J Mine and 50km from the proposed rail to Anketell Port. Steffen Robertson Kirsten (SRK) have recently been appointed to lead a Concept Study on the Bungaroo South Deposit. The objective of the Concept Study is to consider and evaluate mine development concepts and preliminary financial parameters for the project.
The total JORC Mineral Resource at Bungaroo South is 241.6Mt @ 57.2% Fe. The mineral resource consists of CID mineralisation.
Planned activity for 2011 :
- Complete a Concept Study on the Bungaroo South Project.
- Ricane Exploration Target – RC drilling to determine bedded mineralisation confined to Dales Gorge Member of the Brockman Iron Formation.
- Mesa J South West CID/Detritals Exploration Target – RC drilling is planned to test potential for CID and DID mineralisation.
The total JORC Mineral Resource at Bungaroo South is 241.6Mt at 57.2% Fe.
